Made 6-26-22. For Susan to like - close to 1 C sugar, 1/2 C grand mariner, 1 C tequila, 1 C lime juice, 1/2 C lemon juice. Ice is determined by whether you want it frozen or on the rocks. Susan loved!
307 cal/1 C serving. Made 6-26-22. Substituted 3 oz Greek yogurt for cream cheese. Roux with butter and flour WAAAY to thick … add more butter and less flour. (Had to strain to get out the lumps.). When veggies and chicken are mixed with sauce, it looks a little like library paste! (Don’t let company see this part!). BUT … it tastes pretty good, although a little bland. Next time try adding basil or paprika or oregano. Something to give it a kick!
Made 6-13-22 for lunch. Used large can tuna, elbow macaroni, 4 ozs velveeta and 4 ozs cheddar, and Parmesan. Used about 21/2 cups pasta instead of 3 as would not be enough sauce). Added cooked peas. Pretty good! Next time try adding sautéed onion and celery as recipe suggests at bottom
Made 5-22 when Cheryl was here. Delicious! Next time double the sauce because you want lots of it! I cooked meatballs in skillet in butter i stead of in oven.
Made 4-15-23. Owyn and Ky both ate. Used 3 cans white beans, 1 pkg Costco turkey, 1 jar homemade tomatilla sauce
Made 11-8-21. Delicious. Used 1 jar tomatillo sauce and 1 cup chicken broth, and 1 can white beans and 1 can pinto beans
10-11-21 needs more chicken broth and an additional 2 minutes (rice was not quite done). Also, if broccoli is frozen, add it from the beginning. 1 1/2 cup cheese. Maybe increase milk to 1 1/2 C ( it was a little dry).
Made 9-28-21. Leave out lime juice! It was sour! Otherwise, good. I used canned black beans and canned corn
Made again 10-20-23 and left out lime juice. Still sour. Just not good. No need to ever make this again!
Made again4-12-22 and steamed asparagus first for 10 minutes. Better! Asparagus tough. Consider steaming to tender first, then roasting for a few minutes. Used fresh basil instead of rosemary. Put mixture on salmon as well.
