Tasty but quite a lot of work, also needed quite a lot of cooking to hold together as they were quite wet. I did not follow recipe proportions, just used what I had.
Ok but a bit bland and more effort than expected to put together.
Couldn’t get kumara so used zucchini and ½cup quinoa. Reduced stock to compensate for added vege and less grain. Add a whole tin of chipotle sauce but could barely taste after cooking. Was better after sitting overnight. Topped with melted cheese and served with salsa. It was ok but not great.
This was pretty delicious and super easy. It’s a little one note so might think of adding some more ingredients next time, grated carrot, diced onion, anything hardy.
I used Carolina mustard BBQ sauce as I didn’t have Frank’s. It was still delicious but def needs something creamy to balance the vinegar sauce. I tried ranch but didn’t taste right, I also tried kewpie but no go. Creamy jalapeño dip I had was good as was toum.
Much was also noticeable and yum!
Also I used 1 cup short grain white rice and reduced stock by 1 cup although needed to add more during cooking for rice, so be liberal. Also, hot tip; pour a little liquid in each corner as that’s where uncooked rice grains hide!
Stunning. I used frozen cauliflower gnocchi so couldn’t get crispy but nicely browned, with 158g cabanossy sausage, green onion, Chinese celery, spinach, peas and finished with pesto. Yummers!!
Delicious although I did zhuzh them up a bit with mozzarella melted on top and sweet chili sauce YUM with salad and half an avocado with EBTB seasoning. Yummers.
Meatballs were super dry and chewy. I did wonder how they would be good with no breadcrumbs or anything to
hold moisture, they weren’t.
Chopped salad and sauce was yum.
I did rice and corn combo, probs ¾cup each, in place of ciabatta. Also bulked this out to 3 servings with Chinese celery and coriander. I air fried the duck legs for 45mins at 160, then 200 for 15mins (as per an FB reel I watched) was WAY too long and they were over cooked. Maybe 35 + 10?
Also just did straight hoisin and chili crisp mixed through, and high was DELICIOUS!!!! Yum, yum, yum!!!
This also would have been good with turkey.
This was delicious! I used diff vege; mushrooms, Chinese celery, green onion, coriander and cat back the peanut butter to a large dollop to try and bring cals down. Cooked quinoa in chicken stock but did not add basil or lime.
Delicious!!
This was so good!! I made a cheats version of it with halloumi;
Skip marinating and dry spices, make the curry with 2 tins of Watties Indian style tomatoes, let simmer for 15mins. Add diced halloumi, garam masala and fenugreek, stir careful not to break up halloumi. Ideally let sit for a day or two to let flavours meld. I served over leftover roast potatoes and spinach. DELICIOUS!
Super yum but I hacked it. Veggie packed meatballs with 300g button mushrooms, sautéed, a large carrot, grated and salted to remove liquid then thoroughly squeezed out with only 375g pork mince and I added 1 egg to keep it together. Made 18 meatballs.
Served with a bit of rice, cucumber and capsicum chopped with the pickled carrots and topped with sweet soy and sriracha. YUM!!!
Had a riff on this for dinner tonight with leftovers in the fridge; chorizo and some salami slices, tomatoes and cucumber with a dash of everything bagel and some olive oil, couple sweet and spicy peppers and tinned cannellini beans with a dollop of hummus. Yum!!
YUM!!! This was excellent and a fantastic way to use up leftover Christmas 2023 turkey. The flavorings were perfectly balanced, didn’t bother with the BBQ sauce as had a cranberry, port and orangey sauce stuff that was already quite savory.
I kinda made this with leftovers from Christmas turkey dinner; shredded turkey, bag of Japanese sesame coleslaw, steamed white rice, mayo and hoisin.
So yummy, tastes like Katsubi.
I should have added a splash of soy in place of the flavour bomb salt but used everything seasoning instead. It was bland on the night but better the next day when everything had sat.
Yummy though!!
This was ok, I skipped the noodles (because I forgot to buy them) and bulked it out with heaps of broccoli. The filling on its own was really good, I could easily see it being great with the noodles but with all the broccoli it was a bit bland. Great idea, might need a bit more tweaking.
This was DELICIOUS!! I had pre-seasoned white fish, bumped up the edamame and didn’t do the rice, soo good! For leftovers I added a squirt of kewpie and some dukkah, extra yummy!!!
Meant to be Ewan birthday cake but HORRIBLE.
Ridiculous method, cake has to be over mixed in order to wet all batter once apples are in. Further, the effort to do so with a metal spoon, bruises the apples.
If making again, make wet batter then fold in apples.
I also subbed raisins for walnuts and made cream cheese frosting in place of glaze.
