It's very nice with Savoy cabbage but works fine with any. It has a creamy consistency and is subtly sweet from the cabbage. Definately a comfort food treat.

A delicious twist on traditional yams. Even people who think they "Don't like Indian cuisine." have loved this. Can be made ahead, refrigerated or frozen and reheated. Often dishes like this with a mixture of spices are better reheated. If you haven't made curried dishes think of this as an adventure (curried means 'mixture of spices' notice there is no actually curry spice in the dish). If you don't have some of the spices, treat yourself to a trip to a market that has a large selection of bulk spices. Small amounts of the spices are very inexpensive.
