Zingerman's Honey Cake

½ cup almonds, sliced

½ cup brewed black tea, cooled to room temperature

1 ⅔ cups King Arthur Organic Medium Rye Flour

¾ teaspoon baking soda

¼ teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon cinnamon

¼ teaspoon cloves

¼ teaspoon ginger

¼ teaspoon nutmeg

1 large egg

½ cup granulated sugar

¼ cup vegetable oil

½ cup buckwheat honey or your favorite honey

Zest of half an orange

Zest of half a lemon

¼ cup plus 2 tablespoons golden raisins
