  • 2 ¼ cups (270g) King Arthur Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
  • ¼ teaspoon baking soda
  • ½ cup (57g) finely chopped blanched almonds
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ginger
  • 1 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1 teaspoon cloves
  • ¼ cup (39g) mini diced ginger, finely ground*
  • note: We like a small food processor for this task.
  • Glaze
  • 1 cup (113g) confectioners' sugar
  • 2 tablespoons (28g) water, brandy, or apple juice (or a combination)
