Sausage Penne Rosé

Ingredients
  • 3 cups penne pasta, uncooked
  • 3 teaspoons olive oil
  • 6 Italian pork sausage links, cut into ½ inch slices
  • 2 cups rosé pasta sauce or creamy tomato pasta sauce
  • Optional: ½ cup cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup green, red and/or yellow peppers, thinly sliced
Steps
  1. Cook pasta according to package directions, just until tender; drain.
  2. Meanwhile, heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat; cook sausages very well.
  3. Add pasta sauce and cream cheese, if using; reduce heat and simmer until warmed through.
  4. Add pepper strips and cook until crisp-tender.
  5. Toss with cooked pasta.
