eta is a creamy, crumbly cheese that is typically a mix of goat and sheep milk and the most popular of the cheeses originating from Greece. This zesty whipped feta dip made with just a few ingredients reminds me of sitting in the warm sun at a bed and breakfast I stayed at with my family in Aegina, Greece.
Ingredients
  • 8 ounces feta cheese (about 1½ cups crumbled feta)
  • ½ cup full fat Greek yogurt
  • ⅓ cup extra-virgin olive oil, plus additional for garnishing
  • 2 teaspoons grated lemon zest
  • 2 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fresh thyme leaves, plus additional for garnish
  • Pita chips, toasted pita bread or veggies, for serving
