Servings: 1 1.5lb Loaf
Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • 3 tbsp (45 grams) butter, softened
  • 1 egg (slightly beaten)
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour (sifted)
  • 2 tsp instant dry yeast
Steps
  1. Add ingredients to bread machine pan in the order listed above.
  2. When adding yeast, make a small indentation on top of flour and make sure it does not reach wet ingredients. Add the yeast to the indentation.
  3. Keep yeast away from the salt.
  4. Insert the bread pan into the bread machine, secure it in place. Close the lid.
  5. Use setting for basic bread or white bread. Set for a 1.5 lb loaf.
  6. When done, remove the bread pan using oven mitts. Turn over the bread pan and shake it to release the loaf. Remove the paddle (if not removed earlier). Spread with butter/margarine. Let cool.
  7. Enjoy!

  • *Sift the flour for best results!*
