Jjajangmyeon (Korean Black Bean Sauce Noodles)
Ingredients
  • ½ head Chinese cabbage - chopped
  • 1 carrot - diced
  • 1 potato - diced
  • 1 medium yellow onion - diced
  • 2 cloves garlic - minced
  • 2 to 3 tbsp Korean black bean paste
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • Salt & pepper
  • 1 cup (250 ml) water
  • 1 tbsp corn starch 1 tbsp water (to thicken sauce)
  • Cooking oil
  • Kalguksu / Wheat noodles
  • Danmuji (yellow pickled radish)
  • Japanese cucumber - julienne
  • Rice vinegar
