Basic Cooked Chicken

Ingredients
  • 1 lb - Boneless skinless Chicken Breast (thin is preferred) or tenders
  • 1 Tbl - Olive Oil
  •  
  • subheading: Seasoning choices:
  • Salt/Pepper
  • Poultry Seasoning
  • Cajon Seasoning
  • An “Everything” Seasoning
  • Steak seasoning, smoked paprika, and sweet paprika
Steps
  1. Trim the chicken and liberally sprinkle seasoning on both sides
  2. (** If chicken breasts are thick, either butterfly them by slicing them horizontally or pound them to be thinner)
  3. Heat oil in pan over MED heat. Swirl oil to coat pan when hot.
  4. Add chicken to pan and cook about 6 to 7 minutes per side
  5. (Cut open chicken to make sure no pink remains inside)
  6. (** Covering chicken while cooking helps to keep it from drying out)
  7. Remove from heat and serve as main dish, or cut up to be used in another recipe.
