Chicken Lettuce Wraps {Pf Chang's Copycat}

  • ½ yellow onion , chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic , rough chopped
  • 4 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce , divided
  • 2 tablespoon rice wine vinegar , divided
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon freshly grated ginger (or ½ teaspoon dried ground)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoon canola oil
  • 2 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 8 ounce can chopped water chestnuts , rinsed and drained

  • 1 head large head Boston or butter lettuce , leaves separated
  • 3 scallions , green tops only, thinly sliced
