Very Good Playdough

2 cups flour

1 cup salt

2 teaspoons cream of tartar

2 cups warm water

2 tablespoons oil

1 teaspoon food coloring

Cook over medium heat for 5 minutes, stirring constantly. Test for readiness by squeezing a piece. If sticky, keep cooking; if springy it's done. Store in an airtight container.

You can make a couple of colors by not adding the coloring in the cooking process but by splitting the dough after it is cooked and kneading in the colors that you want.
