  • 1 lb lean steak
  • 1 lb fresh broccoli florets
  • .5 cup onion, diced
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 Tbsp minced ginger
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Green onion or Sesame Seeds for garnish (optional)
  •
  • subheading: For Sauce:
  • .25 cup soy sauce
  • .25 cup rice vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp chili garlic sauce
  • 1 tsp umami paste (optional)
  • .5 tsp garlic powder
  • .5 tsp ground ginger
  • .25 tsp black pepper
  • .5 cup water
Steps
  1. Prepare your ingredients: Mince garlic and ginger into small pieces, slice steak into thin strips, chop broccoli florets into bite sized pieces.
  2. Mix all sauce ingredients together and set aside.
  3. Steam broccoli until it is still firm/tender and bright green in color. (In microwave, put in glass bowl with 2 tsp water, covered tightly with plastic wrap, and cook on high for 3 minutes.)
  4. Heat olive oil in skillet on medium high heat. Add steak, garlic and onion and stir fry until browned.
  5. Add drained broccoli florets, sauce, and toss everything together to coat. Reduce heat to low simmer, add lid, and let everything cook together for about 10 minutes.
  6. Remove lid and increase heat again for about 5 minutes while stirring, to reduce sauce.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions or sesame seeds before serving. (Optional)
