- ¼ cup milk of choice
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 ¼ cups whole wheat flour, or white whole wheat flour for a lighter muffin
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- ⅓ cup chocolate chips, or to taste.
