MY Instant Pot Chicken "Alfredo"
Ingredients
  • 3 cups homemade vegetable broth
  • 12 oz Farfelle pasta
  • 1 # chicken boob, cut in 1" chunks
  • onion powder, black pepper
  • 14.5 oz jar Prego Roasted Garlic Parmesan Sauce
  • 2 cups thawed frozen peas
  • 7 slices leftover bacon, chopped
  • note: SEE NOTES*
Steps
  1. Season cut up chicken with onion powder and pepper.
  2. Add broth and pasta to pot, top with chicken. Place lid on pot and set to sealing.
  3. Pressure cook on high 6 min, with 5 min NR, 21 min to pressure. Release rest of pressure and remove lid when pin drops
  4. Add sauce and stir, then add peas and stir.
  5. Top with chopped bacon when serving
Notes

  • As above. Served at 17 min KW. I think Farfelle needed 1 more min cook. If a next time, I would add about ¾ c more liquid. The jar sauce really stuck to the pasta; not much creaminess. I've never used jar cheese sauce in the pot but I do add extra liquid when adding REAL cheese. Needs more seasoning, bland. I didn't taste any seasonings. I did think of adding dry ranch but didn't. Red pepper flakes??

  • Reheat with ¼ c cream & water = ⅓ c, 1T dry ranch (not homemade). Added dry shredded parm
