Ham and Bean Soup
Family Recipe - Grandmother Fox

Ingredients
  • 2 Ham Hocks
  • 2 large cans Great Northern Beans, drained
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 to 3 stalks of celery, diced
  • 3 to 4 - 8 quarts water
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Steps
  1. Pour water in stock pot or large pan
  2. Place ham hocks, onion, and celery in pot and bring to a boil
  3. Reduce heat and simmer until broth forms (  1…1-½ hours )
  4. Remove ham hocks from pot and take meat from bone
  5. Return meat to pot and add beans  and undiluted tomato soup
  6. Heat and enjoy!!!

  • This recipe has no written instructions.  Ingredients are adjusted by taste and eye. Use more or less as desired
