  • 100g dates, pitted and chopped
  • 50g walnuts, chopped
  • Finely grated zest of 1 lemon
  • 150ml milk, plus extra for brushing
  • 150ml pouring cream
  • 1 free-range egg
  • Thick cream, to serve
