Perfect Cinnamon Apples
My family loves these delicious stovetop cinnamon apples! They can be made in 15 minutes and are a perfect topping for oatmeal, pancakes, ice cream, and more!
Ingredients
  • 1 ¾ pounds apples, 5 to 6 small
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice or apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons water, plus more as needed
  • 2 tablespoons butter or vegan butter
  • 1 ½ teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cardamom, optional
  • ⅛ teaspoon fresh grated nutmeg, optional
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • ½ tablespoon to 1 tablespoon maple syrup, optional
