Spicy Peanut Noodles with Cabbage and Carrots
Ingredients
  • 250g / 9oz medium egg noodles
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tbsp ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 head Chinese cabbage, sliced (about 700g / 3 cups)
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • subheading: For the Sauce:
  • 3 tbsp smooth peanut butter
  • 1 tbsp brown sugar (or white sugar)
  • 2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Chinese Shaohsing cooking wine (or 1 tbsp rice vinegar)
  • 4 tbsp soy sauce
  • ½ to 1 tsp dried chili flakes (to taste)
  • 2 tbsp hot water
  • 2 to 3 green onions, sliced
