Ingredients
  • 18 ounces semisweet morsels
  • 12 ounces butterscotch morsels
  • 2 cans sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  • a pinch of salt
  • Walnuts (optional)
Steps
  1. Over a double boiler, melt and stir semisweet morsels, butterscotch morsels, and sweetened condensed milk.
  2. Important note: the boiling water in the lower pan should not be in direct contact with the upper pan. You just want it to steam.
  3. When everything is melted, remove from heat and stir in vanilla and a pinch of salt. If you're a nutty family, add chopped walnuts (up to 2 cups).
  4. Pour onto lined cookie sheet and allow to cool.
