Oreo Chaffles

Servings: Makes 4 chaffles 1 serving is two plus half of total filling mixture
Ingredients
  • subheading: Chaffle ingredients:
  • 1 egg - room temp
  • ½ tsp vanilla
  • 1 TBS heavy cream
  • 2 TBS cocoa powder
  • 2 TBS sweetener of choice (powdered is best, granular is fine)
  • ¼ tsp baking powder
  • pinch of salt
  • note: ** optional, 1 tsp of cooled STRONG coffee
  • note: ** optional, stevia drops to add more sweet to taste
  •  
  • subheading: Filling:
  • 2 to 4 oz cream cheese, room temp
  • Powdered sweetener to taste (or use sweetener drops)
  • ⅛ to ¼ tsp Extract of choice if you want it
Steps
  1. Heat up waffle maker for 5 minutes
  2. You can either mix dry from wet or all in at once
  3. Mix well if using granular sweetener, powdered blends in easier
  4. TASTE batter and adjust to your sweet liking (add more if needed or add stevia drops, mix again)
  5. Use TWO TABLESPOONS MAX per waffle on a Dash Mini
  6. Close lid and cook about 4 to 5 minutes until steam starts to clear
  7. DO NOT OPEN THE WAFFLE MAKER WHILE COOKING
  8. After 4 to 5 minutes, check for doneness...go longer if need be or take out
  9. and set on cooling rack to fully cool before filling them
  10. Repeat with the remaining batter
  11. While they are cooling, beat all the filling ingredients to desired consistency
  12. Spread filling between two chaffles.  Cool down in the fridge if you want, or EAT NOW.
