  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 tsp sugar, to taste
  • ½ tsp dried basil
  • ½ tsp dried oregano
  • ½ tsp pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream, to taste to help combat acidity
  • ⅓ cup parmesan cheese, plus more to serve
  • freshly cut basil for topping (optional)
