- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 2 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tsp sweet paprika
- 2 tsp sea salt flakes
- 1 tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ⅓ cup ( 80 ml) olive oil
- ¼ cup ( 60 ml) water
- 1 large onion, finely diced
- 3 garlic cloves, finely chopped
- 2 tsp tomato paste (concentrated tomato puree)
- 400 g ( 14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- 2 cups ( 500 ml) beef stock
- 1 tsp sugar
- Juice of 1 lime
