MY Vietnamese Lemongrass Pork
For Banh Mi sandwiches or as a main course with rice
Ingredients
  • 2 to 2 ½ lbs pork shoulder/butt sliced thinly (or ½ to ¾" thick bone-in pork chops)
  • 1 1⁄2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon chopped shallots or 1 tablespoon minced onion
  • 1 stalk lemongrass, trimmed and finely chopped (3 tablespoons)
  • 1 ⁄4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
