MY Japanese Style Clam Sauce Pasta
Ingredients
  • 4 shiitake mushrooms
  • 2 green onions
  • ⅓ of a cup of diced tomato's (seeds removed - meat only)
  • 4 cloves of minced garlic
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cans of clams (reserve liquid)
  • 1 1⁄2 cups clam juice, dashi or chicken broth (ok to use some shitake water)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons sake
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp. water
  • ⅛ tsp red pepper flakes (adjust to taste)
  • 1 lb spaghetti
  • toasted nori slivers
