Ingredients
- Chicken Breasts - uncooked, not too fat
- Seasonings to Preference - it is best to use some liquid in the bag
- Zip lock or vacuum seal bags
- Thermometer to check water temp
Steps
- Remember when using the InstaPot, set the water temp *higher* to start that your desired cooking temp. It may be best to start the water up to 10 to 15 degrees hotter than desired. Do not cook chicken under 145 degrees both for texture and time reasons. 145 to 150 are good temperatures to aim for.
- When the desired cooking temp is 10 to 15 degrees under the current water temp, place the chicken bags into the water and secure.
- Monitor the temp to be sure the desired temp is maintained for the desired cooking time. This will require some adjustment as the cold chicken bags affect the water temp.
- See recipe images for temperatures and bare minimum cooking times.
- A safety net of at least 1 hour cooking time is a good idea.
