  • ¼ cup corn syrup
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon brandy
  • 1 pound unsalted butter, softened
  • ¾ cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • Bittersweet and white chocolate shavings, for garnish
