  • 1 pinch salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-size pieces
  • ¼ teaspoon cayenne pepper, or to taste
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • ¼ cup water
