Basic Crock Pot Black-Eyed Peas
4-21-21 added can tomatoes and can green peppers. Precooked peas for 15 minutes. Chicken broth instead of water

  • 1 large onion, quartered and sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt (or a salt blend), to taste
