Lemony Asparagus Pasta
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. penne pasta
  • 1 lb. thin asparagus, trimmed and cut into 2" pieces
  • 3 tbsp. extra-virgin olive oil, divided
  • 1 small onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • ½ c. heavy cream
  • 1 c. dry white wine, such as Sauvignon Blanc
  • 1 lemon, zested and juiced
  • 1 tsp. kosher salt
  • ½ c. freshly grated Parmesan, plus more for serving
  • ½ tsp. freshly ground black pepper, plus more for serving
  • ¼ c. fresh parsley, finely chopped
  • ½ tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
