Cabbage Rolls

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground beef (uncooked)
  • 2 eggs (½ cup sour cream?)
  • 2 large cloves of garlic , minced
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 2 Tbsp Parsley
  • 1 Tbsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • ¼ c. Ketchup
  • 40 grinds of salt
  • 20 grinds of pepper
  • 1.5 Cups cooked rice
  • Or
  • ½ cup minute rice (uncooked)
  • 1 head of cabbage
  • Tomato Sauce or V8
Steps
  1. Bring large pot of water to a boil. Summer cabbage head whole until leaves are translucent and pliable.
  2. Drain water, trim out rough center part and core of cabbage.
  3. Mix first 10 ingredients and shape in to 16 balls.
  4. Wrap with cabbage and place in a large roasting pan.
  5. Pour V8 juice until the cabbage rolls are almost covered.
  6. Cover and bake at 325 degrees for 2 hours. Add more V8 if necessary.
  7. Uncover for the last 15 min to brown.
  8. Serve with cooked mashed potatoes.
