Overnight Apple Pie

Ingredients
  • subheading: Crust:
  • 1 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 ½ teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup vegetable oil
  • 2 Tablespoons cold milk

  • 5 large Gala or Jonagold apples, peeled and sliced
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • subheading: Topping:
  • ¾ cup all purpose flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • ⅓ cup cold butter
Steps
  1. Sift dry ingredients into a 9” pie pan. Whip oil and milk with fork; pour over dry ingredients. Mix and press dough to fill pie pan.
  2. Place apples in crust. Combine cinnamon and sugar. Sprinkle over apples.
  3. Sift sugar and flour into bowl. Cut in butter. Sprinkle over apple mixture and press down.
  4. Refrigerate overnight. The next day, bake at 425 for 10 minute. Reduce heat to 350 and bake another 40 minutes.
