El Pollo Loco House Salsa

Ingredients
  • 1 to 2 serrano peppers chopped up into 1 to 2 tbsp
  • 4 large tomatoes (about 6 medium ones), or enough to fit 4 cups volume
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
Steps
  1. Dice one tomato into small pieces then set aside
  2. Add 1 tbsp chopped serrano pepper into the food processor with the rest of the tomatoes and salt
  3. Pulse until it is chunky to pureed
  4. Add more serrano pepper gradually to taste
  5. Add the chopped tomatoes that were set aside to give it texture
Notes
  • If it's too salty or spicy, puree more tomatoes to neutralize taste
