Congee with Maple Harissa Mushrooms
Ingredients

  • 3 star anise
  • 4 cardamom pods
  • ½ to 1 tsp kosher salt
  • Kale or Bok Choy

  • 2 tbsp harissa
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 4oz maitake mushrooms, or protein of choice (shrimp, shredded chicken, etc)
