Bengali Bhuna Chicken- Kosha Murgir Manngsho
Ingredients
  • subheading: For the marinate:
  • 800 gms Chicken, washed and cut into medium pieces
  • 50 grams yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon coriander powder
  • 1-½ tablespoon chilli powder
  • 1 tsp mustard oil / sunflower oil
  • subheading: For the gravy:
  • 2 large onions, sliced
  • 2 to 3 potatoes, peeled and cut into halves
  • 1 small tomato chopped
  • 3 green cardamom
  • 3 to 4 cloves
  • 1 inch cinnamon stick
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • ½ teaspoon garam masala
  • salt
  • 3 to 4 tablespoon mustard oil / sunflower oil
  • subheading: Marinate:
  • Marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger-garlic paste, turmeric powder, chilli powder, cumin powder, coriander powder and mustard oil or vegetable oil. mix everything well with hand and keep it aside for an hour.
