Lebkuchen (German Spice Cookies)

Richie here. I have always loved to cook, but my partner and I work and live in-residence at a hotel with very limited access to a kitchen. 1 ¾ cups all-purpose flour

1 tsp baking powder

1 tsp ground cinnamon

½ tsp ground cloves

½ tsp ground nutmeg

½ tsp ground ginger

½ tsp ground allspice

1 cup honey

¾ cup granulated sugar

1 large egg

1 tbsp lemon zest

1 tsp vanilla extract

1 ½ cups ground almonds

½ cup candied orange peel finely chopped
