Two ways to make this recipe, savory or sweet
Ingredients
- subheading: SAVORY:
- ¾ cup almond flour
- ¼ cup arrowroot starch
- 1 teas. baking powder
- ½ teas. salt
- ¼ teas. dill
- ¼ teas. paprika
- ¼ teas. garlic powder
- ¼ teas. onion powder
- ⅛ teas. black pepper
- 2 tabl. shortening or compliant oil of choice
- 1 to 2 tabl. cold water
- subheading: SWEET:
- ¾ cup almond flour
- ¼ cup arrowroot starch
- 1 tabl. monkfruit or other compliant sweetener
- 1 teas. baking powder
- ½ teas. salt
- 2 tabl. room temperature butter
- 1 to 2 tabl. cold water
Steps
- Mix dry ingredients. Add butter or shortening and mix until well incorporated and crumbly. Add water and knead for two to three minutes until you can form a smooth ball. Wrap the dough in plastic wrap and allow it to rest for 15 to 20 minutes at room temperature.
- Roll out as thin as you want between two pieces of parchment paper. Remove top piece of parchment and cut into squares using a pizza cutter. Use a fork to poke holes in the center of each (optional). Transfer parchment w/dough to a cookie sheet and bake in a 350 degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes. Check on them at about 10 minutes and remove any from around the outside that are getting too browned.
