SAUSAGE CASSEROLE WITH MASHED POTATOES
Ingredients
  • SIngredients
  • 2 onions, chopped
  • 3 sticks celery, sliced
  • 5 carrots, sliced
  • 1 green pepper, sliced
  • Your choice of sausages/meat; I used 5 heck chicken sausages, a remaining length of chorizo, sliced and a packet of unsmoked bacon rashers, chopped.
  • 1 to 2 crushed garlic cloves
  • 2 tsp mixed herbs
  • 1 tsp parsley
  • Black pepper
  • 1 to 2 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1can chopped tomatoes
  • 2 thirds can water or stock
  • 1 or 2 cans beans eg butter beans (I used 200g dried mixed beans already cooked)
  • 2tsp Worcester sauce
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp red wine vinegar
  • 2 tbsp tomato puree
  •  
  • Potato for mash
  • Potatoes, peeled and cut into even chunks (half or third for mine)

  • Method
  • Put all ingredients apart from beans in inner pot, stir well, sit trivet on top, add potato.
  • Set to manual, 10 minutes, sealing.
  • Qpr, remove cooked potato to mash if you wish. Add cooked or tinned beans, stir.
  • Serve and enjoy!
