自制叉烧酱 Homemade Char Siu Sauce, Easy Chinese Sauce (Like Lee Kum Kee Char Siu Sauce)
Homemade barbecue sauce, without artificial coloring Allura red, without red yeast rice (red yeast rice is made by grinding red yeast rice. Red yeast rice is produced by fermenting rice with Monascus purpurogenum. Excessive consumption can cause damage to the liver and kidneys). It is super safe and delicious to make barbecue pork and barbecue pork buns. Here I use red pepper powder instead of red yeast rice
Ingredients

  • ½ cup light soy sauce
  • ¼ cup dark soy sauce
  • ¼ cup oyster sauce
  • 2 tbs fish flavor sauce
  • 3 tbs sugar
  • 4 tbs brown sugar
  • 2 tbs paprika
  • 1 tbs onion powder
  • 120ml water

  • 2 TBS cooking oil
  • 2 tbs minced garlic
  • 2 tbs corn starch (+160ml water) - make into a slurry
