American Goulash (One Pan!)
Ingredients
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef or turkey
  • 1 cup finely diced yellow onion ( 1 medium or half of a large onion)
  • 1 cup finely diced green bell pepper (about 1 pepper)
  • ½ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon coarse black pepper
  • 3 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 can (14.5 oz.) diced tomatoes, undrained
  • 1 can (15 oz.) tomato sauce (no salt added)
  • 2 cups low sodium beef or chicken stock, more if needed
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 8 oz. uncooked elbow macaroni ( 2 heaping cups)
  • Optional toppings: shredded cheddar cheese, chopped parsley
