  • 1 ½ lb. (750 g) Granny Smith apples, peeled, quartered, cored and sliced ⅛ inch (3 mm) thick (3 large)
  • 1 ½ lb. (750 g) Golden Delicious apples, peeled, quartered, cored and sliced ⅛ inch (3 mm) thick (3 large)
  • 2 Tbs. fresh lemon juice
  • ¼ cup (1 ¾ oz./50 g) granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ⅛ tsp. ground nutmeg
  • 4 Tbs. (½ stick) (2 oz./60 g) unsalted butter
