Amy’s Seafood Gumbo (Creole Style)
Ingredients

  • 1 cup of vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup flour
  • 2 tablespoons Cajun seasoning (I use Slap Ya Mama)
  • Boil 12 eggs
  • 2 32 ounce seafood or chicken broth
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • Garlic powder
  • 1 whole garlic clove (diced)
  • Three Bell peppers (chopped)
  • 2 onions ( chopped)
  • 6 stalks of celery (chopped)
  • 3 pounds crawfish tails
  • 2 pounds fresh crab meat
  • 2 pounds fresh shrimp (deveined and no tails)
  • Three small bags of frozen okra
  • 3 cans diced tomatoes (depending on if it’s Cajun or Creole) Mine is creole! So do it how you want!
