GF Lower Carb Sloppy Joe Cornbread Casserole

Ingredients
  • subheading: Keto Sloppy Joe Casserole:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • ½ cup of finely chopped onion
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • ¼ teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1 ½ teaspoon of sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon chili powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 cup of tomato sauce
  • ⅓ cup sugar-free ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons sugar substitute
  • splash of hot sauce (optional)
  • subheading: "Cornbread" Topping:
  • 4 eggs, room temperature
  • ½ cup of heavy cream & ½ cup of water combined for 1 cup of liquid
  • 4 ounces of cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup melted unsalted butter cooled
  • ½ C almond flour or other low carb flour. Arrowroot or coconut should work fine.
  • ½ C cornmeal - use all low carb flours if desired
  • 2 tablespoons of sugar substitute
  • 2 teaspoons of baking powder
  • ¼ tsp of sea salt
  • 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese (topping)
