Simple, quick broccoli salad.

Ingredients
  • 3 bunches of broccoli, cut into flowerets
  • 1 lb bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • ½ cup raisins (regular or Golden)
  • ½ cup sunflower seeds (roasted, salted optional)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp cider vinegar
Steps
  1. Stir together mayonnaise, sugar, and cider vinegar to make the dressing. Set aside.
  2. In a large bowl, add broccoli, raisins, sunflower seeds and onion. Add dressing and stir to mix well. Sprinkle bacon over the top.
Notes
  • The dressing can be prepared up to two days ahead of time.
  • If bringing this to a potluck or a group picnic, wait to add the dressing so that it doesn't all collect at the bottom of the bowl while sitting. For leftovers, remember to stir before serving.
