Great use for ham bone leftovers
Ingredients
- Hamhocks or leftover ham bone
- 2 inch ginger (smash with side of knife)
- 3 carrots peeled and chopped
- 2 Portuguese sausage chopped
- 2 potatoes peeled and chopped
- 1 cup elbow macaroni
- 1 can kidney beans
- ½ head cabbage
- tomato sauce
Steps
- Cover ham bone with water add ginger and bring to boil. Simmer until meat falls off bone
- Add carrots and Portuguese sausage
- When carrots are ½ done add potatoes
- When potatoes are almost done add cooked macaroni, kidney beans, cabbage and tomato sauce
- Season with salt and pepper.
