Texas Sheet Cake (My recipe)

2 Cups flour

2 Cups sugar

1 tsp. salt

2 Sticks oleo

2 Semi-sweet chocolate squares

1 Cup water

2 Eggs

½ Cup sour cream

1 tsp. baking soda

1 tsp. vanilla

1 Tb. vinegar

icing

2 Semi-sweet chocolate squares

1 stick oleo

2 Cups powdered sugar

1 tsp. vanilla

4 to 6 Tb. milk

Sift together flour, sugar and salt and set aside.

Put oleo, chocolate squares and water in a saucepan and bring to a boil.

Beat together eggs, sour cream, baking soda, vanilla and vinegar.

Mix boiled mixture and egg mixture together add to flour mixture and beat well.

Bake on a floured sheet cake pan at 400 for 20 to 25 minutes.

For the icing

Melt chocolate squares and oleo, add vanilla pour into powered sugar and mix well.

Thin with milk.

Spread on warm cake.
