Crock pot cabbage rolls
Meat/rice mixture wrapped in cabbage leaves

Servings: Approx 10 to 15 cabbage rolls

Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground beef/lean(can use venison,sausage,ground turkey/chicken)
  • 1 box uncle bens wild rice
  • 1 cup white rice
  • 1 can diced tomatoes
  • ½ Lb bacon uncooked and diced
  • 1 sm jar prego meat sauce(can sub for your fav spag sauce)
  • 1 onion diced
  • Minced garlic
  • Pepper
  • Season all
  • Nature seasoning
  • 1 large head of cabbage
Steps
  1. 1.Cut a square around cabbage core halfway into cabbage to make it easy to pull leaves off as the cook
  2. 2.Boil whole cabbage on the stove until all leaves flex or cook in instant pot for 12 mins(place core side down and put water in pot)
  3. 3. Cool leaves/head in cold water
  4. 4. Mix burger, uncooked rice, diced tomatoes, diced onion, diced bacon, seasonings together. Form a ball  then wrap in cabbage leaf
  5. 5. Place cabbage rolls lined up in the crock pot and on top of one another if you have too then add extra cabbage on top
  6. 6. Add enough water to almost cover the rolls
  7. 7. Add sauce on top
  8. 8. Cook on low heat for 8 or more hours
