Chocolate Silk Pie

Ingredients
  • subheading: Crust:
  • ½ lb butter, melted
  • ¾ cup chopped walnuts, toasted
  • 1 cup pecans, chopped and toasted
  • ½ teaspoon cinnamon
  • subheading: Mousse Cake:
  • 1½ cups butter, at room temperature
  • ¼ cup whipping cream
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 4 cups semi sweet chocolate, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Steps
  1. subheading: For the Crust:
  2. Combine all ingredients in a bowl. If mixture seems to runny, chill slightly. Press into 9" springform pan. Chill until firm.
  3. subheading: For the Mousse:
  4. Combine butter and sugar and beat until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 2 at a time, scraping sides each time. Beat 2 minutes. Add chocolate and beat until incorporated. Stir in cream and vanilla. Pour into crust. Refrigerate until firm, 6 hours to overnight.
