Cinnamon Raisin Molasses Bread for the Bread Machine
Ingredients
  • subheading: 1.5lb loaf:
  • 180 gr milk (or water + 2 Tbsp dry milk)
  •
  • 1.5 tbsp butter
  • 3 Tbsp molasses
  • 4 tbsp sugar (maybe more)
  •
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp packed brown sugar (Splenda brown/white mix works fine)
  • 2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp active dry yeast
  •
  • 2 tsp cinnamon (more or less, to your taste)
  •
  • ½ cup raisins, soaked in 1 cup warm water
Steps
  1. Add the ingredients in the order recommended by the machine’s manufacturer.
  2. subheading: Set to:
  3. Oatmeal cycle.
  4. Medium color setting.
  5. 1.5 lb
  6. Add the raisins, drained, at the Add-in signal.
Notes
  • This recipe is highly adaptable. Like less cinnamon? Use less. Want a more cinnamony taste? Add more. Feel free to add other spices, such as nutmeg, ground cloves, or a wee bit of ground ginger. Don’t like raisins? Leave them out.
  • Don’t want molassy bread? Then just leave it out.
  • If you like nuts, add some at the add-in signal. And if you want to add in some cooked bacon, I will not judge you.
