Cinnamon Raisin Molasses Bread for the Bread Machine
loading...
Ingredients
- subheading: 1.5lb loaf:
- 180 gr milk (or water + 2 Tbsp dry milk)
- 1.5 tbsp butter
- 3 Tbsp molasses
- 4 tbsp sugar (maybe more)
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 Tbsp packed brown sugar (Splenda brown/white mix works fine)
- 2 cup unbleached all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 tsp cinnamon (more or less, to your taste)
- ½ cup raisins, soaked in 1 cup warm water
Steps
- Add the ingredients in the order recommended by the machine’s manufacturer.
- subheading: Set to:
- Oatmeal cycle.
- Medium color setting.
- 1.5 lb
- Add the raisins, drained, at the Add-in signal.
Notes
- This recipe is highly adaptable. Like less cinnamon? Use less. Want a more cinnamony taste? Add more. Feel free to add other spices, such as nutmeg, ground cloves, or a wee bit of ground ginger. Don’t like raisins? Leave them out.
- Don’t want molassy bread? Then just leave it out.
- If you like nuts, add some at the add-in signal. And if you want to add in some cooked bacon, I will not judge you.
