Abby’s Corn Bread
Ingredients
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup (½stick) butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1-¼ cups yellow cornmeal
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tbls. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
Steps
  1. Preheat oven to 400*. Grease 8 inch pan with cooking spray. Beat milk, butter and egg in a large bowl until well mixed. Stir in the cornmeal, flour, sugar, baking powder and salt; stir until incorporated. Batter maybe lumpy. Pour batter into greased pan. Bake for 22 mins or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Serve warm.
